Dear incoming students,

(2009 Pickup of Incoming Students)

Greetings 2009 incoming Harvard students! Welcome to Boston. During the busy season (07/15/2009~09/02/2009) Harvard Chinese Students and Scholars Association is willing to help with picking up new students in the airport. If you need help, please let us know your flight number, name of airline company, the arrival time, how many people are coming, name for each one, and estimated number of baggages. It`s totally fine if you come by yourself, but it would be the best if you come as GROUPS so that we can do a more efficient job. We can be reached by harvardcssa@gmail.com, and your email title would be “2009Pick-up”.? Meanwhile, you can please sign up to HCSSA mailing list at http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hcssa/mailinglist/subscribe.php

Have a nice trip! We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Here are some tips by courtesy of our veteran Yikai Wang:

1. Remember the cell phone number of the recipient.? Make a phone call to the recipient if you miss the next flight when transferring or if you already know the next flight will be postponed.? You can leave a message after you hear a voice and a sound "beep" if no one answer the phone.? If everything is OK and you don't have to make the phone call, we will assume you will arrive on the flight you plan to take.

2. After you claim your luggage, come out of the hall to the ground transportation.? There are several lanes depending on which terminal you will arrive.? For every terminal, you can see a lane called "active pickup", where the driver can stop the car for a while. If you can follow this way, the driver doesn't have to park in the airport, which will make the pick-up more convenient.

3. Describe your appearance such as glasses or not, clothes, long hair or short… so that the one who comes and helps you can recognize you easily.

Last but not least, you are more than welcome to subscribe to our mailing list at http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hcssa/mailinglist/about.php, in order to get first-hand information on a rich set of activities organized by our society.
